There are four main components in the device: a fan, a filter, a control unit and a set of sensors. The device acts as an air monitoring unit as well, constantly gathering data and the control unit is used to process the data gathered from the sensors and control the device. The control unit is equipped with a WiFI which allows it to connect to the cloud for data storage and further analysis.
The sensors in the device are capable of measuring Carbon Monoxide, Carbon Dioxide, Ammonia, Alcohol, Acetone, Toluene with reference to temperature and humidity. These sensors send environmental data on an interval of three (03) seconds to the microcontroller. The fan which is able to sense the RPM of the fan and is able to be controlled using PWM (Phase Width Modulation) by the control unit.
